My name is Jelani Pinkston, founder and creator of King Jae Beats Productions. I'm from Chicago, and I sign my work under the artist name Young KJ. I find inspiration in many places and have traveled to Milwaukee, St. Louis, Detroit, Atlanta, and even San Francisco which has influenced my creative style and process. I make music because there is honestly no other way to express how I truly feel...

I specialize in beat-making, songwriting, recording, mixing & mastering, film & photo editing and I focus on ways to relate to all of my fans and listeners. I also enjoy working with other producers and artists. I am motivated by artists like ian dior, Juice WRLD, A Boogie, and Ski Mask. I've been making music for 5 years. My favorite artist is G Herbo and I find his work to be relatable to those growing up in the Southside of Chicago! When people hear and see my work, I hope they experience that they aren't the only ones going through it.
